This tubular roof structure consists of a 96m column-free span, which connects the outer tension ring ‘box gutter’ and a 20t internal ‘compression ring’. It also supports the 133t staging sub-grids and catwalks. Specific detailing was introduced to ensure that assemblies fit on site. Erection weights are considered for the crane and lifting philosophy.
